AIARE Level 1: Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain
About:
AIARE Level 1 is a 3 day introduction to avalanche hazard management focusing on creating options and making informed decisions for travel in avalanche terrain. The major themes emphasized in this course are: terrain selection, planning and preparation, human factors, and effective companion rescue. Anyone exposed to avalanche hazard can benefit from this course. This course meets the American Avalanche Association guidelines for Level 1. Equipment List.
