Overrunning snow will descend upon the area once again this April. Light showers will be possible today (Wed) but the accumulating stuff will fall on Thursday and Friday. The GFS model gives Thompson Pass 32 mm (1.25") of liquid from Thursday through Saturday. The heaviest falling Thursday night. The snow will be mixing with rain, especially below the Pass on Friday afternoon.
This could bring another foot to the higher elevations into the weekend. With the heavier batch occurring Thursday night, the precip. type could be wet snow for lower elevations. By Sunday drier air moves in giving way to partial sunshine. Temperatures will be near freezing at the Pass through Saturday but then rise into the 30s by Sunday.
