Kirsti Jurica is an avalanche forecaster for Alaska DOT, the City of Cordova and the Cordova hydro-electric power company. She has her Canadian Avalanche Association Level II and has presented avalanche research at the International Snow Science Workshop. She is both a hydrologist and a native peoples and wildlife scientist.
